Loubel cuts more copper at Queylus

Junior Loubel Exploration (LBX-M) has drilled a new copper intersection on its Queylus property near Chibougamau, Que.

Hole 5, drilled over a 3-km-long induced-polarization conductor inside a granitic intrusion, returned 2.98% copper over 4.5 ft. (from 234 to 238.5 ft.) at a depth of 234 ft. Core recovery was described as difficult.

Two other holes were drilled east and west of hole 5, assays from which are pending. A third hole will test an extension of the new zone.

The Rouyn-Noranda-based company completed a $1-million public financing in December 1996.
