Manhattan gains extension

The government of Peru has granted Manhattan Minerals (MAN-T) a one-year extension to an option agreement for the Tambo Grande concessions, which will allow for further optimization of the initial gold mine and subsequent base metal mine.

The company plans to use the extension to consult with local stakeholders, and to demonstrate to them that mining can take place in an environmentally sensitive manner without disrupting the existing agricultural economic base.
