Diamond drilling is scheduled for this month on the Twin Lake shear zone in the Flin Flon area of Manitoba by Alberta-listed Marker Resources.
Crews are currently evaluating the target area which is more than six km long and in places 75 metres wide. Sampling of the shear zone indicated gold values and has confirmed that the mineralization is structurally controlled, says the company.
Marker has the right to earn a 100% working interest in the Twin Lake property which totals approximately 11,000 acres.
At the Gold Button showing, also in the Flin Flon area, a program is planned involving a detailed grid over the showing and the recently defined airborne EM anomaly. Geophysical surveys and basil till sampling will follow.
Marker has also acquired interest in 10,000 acres in the Puffy Lake area of the province located 40 miles northeast of Flin Flon. The properties cover eight miles of the favorable horizon known to host Pioneer Metals’ Puffy Lake project, the company says.
The properties are being evaluated by geophysical surveys with results expected to define drill targets. Several joint ventures are being negotiated on the properties, says the company.
