MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA — Teck explores El Salvador

A diamond drill program operated by Teck (TEK-T) is under way at El Salvador, a property in the Central American country of the same name.

The project is a joint-venture whereby Teck has a 55% interest and partner Western Copper Holdings (WTC-T) holds the remainder.

El Salvador is in a 225-sq.-km land package that also includes the Virgen property. High-grade copper oxide mineralization has been encountered on both properties over significant widths.

Operator Teck is financing the initial drill program.
