Drill results from Trader Resources’ (TSE) 50% owned Mikwam property in northwestern Quebec’s Casa Berardi area have not been able to match results from the first hole which included a 14.1-ft. section grading 0.24 oz. gold per ton.
The company put down six widely spaced holes targeting separate areas of interest. After results from the first hole were released, Trader and its joint venture partner Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) disagreed on which company should be operator (T.N.M., July 20 /92).
Montreal-based Freewest Resources (TSE) has a 40% interest in Hemlo’s 50% stake in the property. Royal Oak Mines (TSE) owns 51% of Trader. The latest drill results include 9.5 ft. grading 0.06 oz. and 7.2 ft. grading 0.08 oz. in hole MK-92-03 and 1.6 ft. grading 0.7 oz. in hole MK-92-06.
