MINER BRIEFS — Transpacific debt

Transpacific Resources (TSE) says it is carrying out a restructuring under which its approximate $6-million debt will be converted to equity. The company has plans to commercialize its patented technology for the binderless briquetting of reject fine coal. The company has a pilot plant in Alabama; an agreement was signed this year licensing the technology in India.
