Milling experts from around the world will convene in San Francisco next month for the 19th International Mineral Processing Congress.
Sponsored by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, the conference will emphasize advanced technology.
North American-based speakers include: Harry Conger, chairman of Homestake Mining; Brian Flintoff, a director of Brenda Process Technology; Douglas Fuerstenau, a professor at the University of California in Berkeley; Milton Wadsworth, a professor at the University of Utah; and Robert Wallin, a branch chief with the Environmental Protection Agency.
On the international front, speakers include: Robin Batterham, vice-president of CRA in Australia; Aidan Edwards, president of South Africa-based MINTEK; Fernando Concha, a professor at Concepcion University in Chile; and Klaus Schonert, a professor at Clausthal University in Germany.
The event will be held Oct. 22 at the St. Francis Hotel.
