Mineral processors to hold conference

The Canadian mineral processors division of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, (CIM), will hold an operators conference in Ottawa, Jan 20-22.

The conference is being sponsored by the Canada Centre for Mineral and Energy Technology, (CANMET).

The meeting comes on the 25th anniversary of the CIM division, including the six years of the founding organization, the gold metallurgists, and will highlight 25 years of development in the mineral processing industry.

Sessions will include an overview of processing development, new operations, operating changes, process development, and process testing. A session on research on Thursday afternoon, Jan 22, will highlight six technical papers and be of special interest to research groups.
