A soil survey at the Karumwa gold property in Tanzania has outlined four drill targets for Minieres du Nord (MDN-T).
The junior collected 700 samples over an area measuring 500 metres long by 100 metres wide. Eleven pits up to 4.5 metres deep were also dug.
The gold values obtained (up to 0.11 gram per tonne) are considered highly anomalous for the region. Moreover, one of the targets occurs at the junction of an iron formation and a northerly striking regional structure that crosses the entire property.
Drilling is to begin in April.
The Karumwa property covers 96.2 sq. km of the Lake Victoria Goldfields district. It lies about 30 km from the Bulyanhulu gold mine being developed by Barrick Gold (ABX-T).
