Minor gold values are reported from four holes drilled on the Delta-1 property in Mexico’s Chihuahua state.
Bethlehem Resources (TSE), the operator, carried out the 662-metre program. The junior can earn half of the 90% interest held by Levelland Energy and Resources (VSE) in return for spending $2.5 million over five years. Minera Delta holds the remaining 10% interest.
Surface rock chip sampling across a 130-by-300-metre zone returned 142 samples averaging 4.32 grams gold per ton. Drilling beneath the zone intersected 21.3 metres grading 0.45 grams in Hole 94-1 and 3 metres of 0.38 grams in 94-2. Hole 94-4 returned three intersections: 1.1 metres of 0.51 grams, 3 metres of 0.48 grams and 2.6 metres of 0.62 grams. Silver mineralization was not significant, so selected sample intervals were resubmitted for metallic gold analysis.
Levelland has acquired three additional gold-silver prospects (Rainier-7, Montanana De Oro and Danny-1), to hold a total of seven in Mexico. The properties, including Delta-1, are within a 25-by-25-km area of the Sierra Madre region in Chihuahua.
Preliminary work includes line cutting, sampling, mapping and trenching — all in different stages on each of the properties. Levelland holds a vested 75% interest in the projects, with the exception of Delta-1.
