Listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange in February, Anzex Resources (AZX-V) holds interests in the Longwood project on New Zealand’s South Island, and the Mosquito Hill project in North Queensland, Australia.
Director Anthony Naldrett, an expert on platinum-group-element and nickel-sulphide deposits, will help guide work at the Longwood platinum project, the junior’s main exploration target. Longwood is believed to represent the only known platinum-gold-bearing layered mafic intrusive complex in the world that has never been drilled. Drilling is scheduled to begin shortly. The target at the Mosquito Hill project is a
volcanogenic-related massive sulphide or stockwork breccia deposit.

The company’s Wildrose property has a history of gold production dating to the 19th century, and has been drilled by past operators. Resources have been pegged at 17,127 tons grading 0.3 oz. gold per ton, plus an additional resource of 2,970 tons grading 0.25 oz.
