MINING MARKETS & INVESTMENT NEWS — Mining executives partake of light trading

Recent insider trading transactions reported in the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin include the following:

  • Black Hawk Mining (BHK-T) — Pastor Torres Gurdian, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 50,000 options at 24 cents to hold 50,000 options; and Dundee Bancorp Inc., holder of more than 10% of the company, bought 1.33 million shares in a private placement at 18 cents to hold 1.33 million shares directly and 24.87 million shares indirectly.
  • Eloro Resources (ELOR-C) — Thomas Larsen, director, bought 12,000 shares at 21-27 cents and sold 7,000 shares at 27 cents to hold 652,900 shares; Francis Sauve, director, bought 12,500 shares at 21-27 cents to hold 652,900 shares.
  • Golden Rule Resources (GNU-T) — Glen Harper, director, bought 50,000 shares indirectly at 37 cents to hold 190,900 shares indirectly and 1.89 million shares directly.
  • Iamgold (IMG-T) — Lawrence Phillips, officer, sold 7,665 shares at $3.05 to hold 2,600 shares and 600,000 options; and William Pugliese, director, bought 2 million shares privately and indirectly and sold 1 million shares privately and indirectly to hold 20.77 million shares divided among four accounts.
  • Kazakhstan Minerals (KMC.U-T) — Erwin Haas, director allowed to expire 50,000 options priced at US$3 and now holds 535,000 options; William Kennedy, director, allowed to expire 100,000 options priced at US$3 and disposed of another 75,000 options priced at US$2.75 to hold 645,000 options; Sergey Kurzin, officer, allowed to expire 100,000 options at US$3 and disposed of another 75,000 options priced at US$2.75 to hold 145,000 options; Graham Potts, officer, allowed to expire 55,000 options priced at US$3 and disposed of another 40,000 options priced at US$2.75 to hold 70,000 options; Anthony Williams, executive of an affiliated company, allowed to expire 100,000 options priced at US$3 and disposed of another 40,000 options priced at US$2.75 to hold 120,000 options; and Chet Idziszek, director, disposed of 95,000 options at an unspecified price to hold 70,000.
  • Nevsun Resources (NSU-T) — John Clarke, director, bought 40,000 shares at 54-55 cents to hold 78,200 shares.
  • Northfield Minerals (NFM-T) — Thomas Larsen, director, bought 8,800 shares at 37-41 cents and sold 108,500 shares at 38-42 cents to hold 257,047 shares.
  • Sutton Resources (STT-T) — John Greig, director, sold 3,100 shares directly at $5.60-5.65, 9,000 shares indirectly at $5.60-6.40 and disposed of 20,000 options at $10.10 and 2,000 warrants at an unspecified price to hold 6,480 shares directly, 738,800 shares indirectly, 280,000 options and no warrants.
  • Viceroy Resource (VOY-T) — Michael Halvorson, director, exercised 63,000 options at $2.58 and sold 34,563 shares at $3.20-3.40 to hold 145,925 options and 100,485 shares; and Ronald Netolitzky, director, sold 110,000 shares at $2-2.68 and was granted 50,000 options at $2.75 to hold 1.38 million shares directly, 96 shares indirectly and 232,026 options.
