Mining Week in God’s Country

The Mining Association of British Columbia is gearing up for Mining Week 1991. The celebrations will be held during the last week of February.

Three days of events in Vancouver’s Pan Pacific Hotel will include a careers fair, an awards luncheon, mine safety banquet and awards presentations, technical sessions and a final wind-up dinner and dance.

City and town councils across the province will be asked to proclaim the week in their communities. To generate interest in mining at schools, the association has sent out information packages to all science teachers.
