Minnova and Kerr plan Troilus study

A $4.2-million feasibility study on the Troilus gold deposit (formerly the Frotet project) has been announced by the property’s joint owners, Minnova (TSE) and Kerr Addison (TSE).

The study is expected to take 10 months and the cost will be shared equally by the partners. Minnova is the operator.

The gold deposit is 125 km north of Chapais in northwestern Quebec. Initial studies indicate a probable minable reserve of 40 million tonnes at an average grade of 1.4 grams gold per tonne and 0.12% copper. Preliminary pit designs show a stripping ratio of 2-to-1 and a mining cutoff grade of 0.5 grams per tonne.
