Mispec Resources (MPE-M) has outlined a zone of gold mineralization on its 7,700-ha Jampang property in West Java, Indonesia.
Acquired earlier this year, the property hosts gold workings and untested alteration zones. A 26,00-metre, combined reverse-circulation and diamond drill program is under way to explore for bulk-tonnage, epithermal gold-silver deposits.
The most recent drill results are from two north-south-trending zones, spaced 100 metres apart. Results from hole 1 on the Western zone (which was tested with two closely spaced holes) include: 2.1 metres of 0.9 gram gold per tonne; 1.7 metres of 1 gram gold; 2.9 metres of 1.7 grams gold; and 2.3 metres of 0.5 gram gold.
The Eastern zone was drill-tested in 13 holes over a strike length of 450 metres. Hole 5 intersected 5 metres of 4.3 grams gold and 16 metres of 3 grams gold, beginning at a depth of 50 metres. Hole 6 cut 4 metres of 1.3 grams gold and 6 metres of 8.5 grams gold, with the hole ending in mineralization. Hole 10, which also ended in mineralization, cut 38 metres of 2.5 grams gold, including a 13-metre width of 4.6 grams gold.
The latest drilling focused on completing three section profiles of the mineralized zone. Other targets on the property include at least 10 separate gold systems, each identified by previous work.
Meanwhile, the company plans to continue prospecting and geological mapping across the property. Results from the July airborne magnetic and radiometric survey are expected by late September and will be used to develop additional drill targets.
