Additional drilling has enabled Mono Gold Mines to increase reserves on the company’s Madoc, Ont., area property to 249,940 tons grading 0.446 oz gold per ton. The reserves, which are not broken up by Mono in the proven, probable or drill-indicated categories, are up from the previous figure of 212,729 tons grading 0.288 oz.
Located near the village of Bannockburn, Ont., the property has been tested by 30,000 ft of diamond drilling since the company made its initial discovery in 1984. The drilling has defined a zone striking for 850 ft and extending to a depth of 350 ft.
