Montanore permitting gets schedule (May 23, 2005)

The U.S. Forest Service and Montana state officials have set out a timeline for permitting of the Montanore silver-copper project, allowing 14 months for approvals.

Owner Mines Management (MGN-X) wants to put the former producer back into production shortly after the process finishes in July 2006. It recently hired consulting firm Hatch to provide a final feasibility study.

The company already has letters of understanding with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the Forest Service on their requirements for preproduction impact studies.

Montanore is in northwestern Montana.
