Montreal Exchange More legal action

Resources and Soci ete Miniere Louvem in Louvicourt Twp., near Val d’Or, Que., are growing more complex. Aur, which has two lawsuits pending, now finds itself being challenged. Louvem and its major shareholder, St. Genevieve Resources, are asking the court to rule Aur withheld pertinent information relating to the Louvic ourt property ; Louvem and Aur are seeking 100% ownership of the project. Trading 108,400 shar es on the week, Aur closed down 88 cents to $8.38; Louvem gained 13 cents to $5.50 on a volume of 223,600; and St. Genevieve, trading 275,100 shares, shot up 24 cents to $2.08.

Reporting acquisition of a 25% interest in about 600 claims in four property groups in the vicinity of the Louvicourt find is Tandem Resources. Tand em, which slipped 4 cents to 28 cents on 7,400 shares, is formulating an exploration program for the claims.

Coleraine Mining Resources, exploring a group of chromite- platinum-nickel properties in Quebec’s Eastern Twps., topped the week’s trading list. T he junior ju mped 9 cents to 64 cents with 614,300 shares changing hands.

Graphite producer Stratmin Inc. was also quite active, moving 295,200 shares and gaining 10 cents to $2.35. Stratmin’s graphite operations are north of M ontrea l. Elsewhere in Quebec, Societe d’Exploration Miniere Mazarin continues to explo re for graphite near the Labrador border. Mazarin slipped 3 cents to $1.08 on 194 ,300 shares.

Kewagama Gold Mines (Quebec) has an underground exploration program under way at its Granada gold property near Rouyn-Noranda, Que. Trading 205,000 shares, Ke wagama jumped 45 cents to $1.95.
