Dundee-Palliser Resources and North American Rare Metals have received assay results for 16 additional diamond drill holes from the 1987 summer exploration program at their Vezza Twp., Que., property.
Located 25 km south of Metagami, the Vezza property consists of 203 claims owned 50% each by Dundee-Palliser and North American. Toronto-based Kennco Explorations has a right to earn up to a 30% interest in the property.
According to the partners, the best results are as follows: Hole A-42 intersected a 16.4-ft cut grading 0.16 oz gold per ton. Hole A-53 cut another 16.4-ft intersection grading 0.10 oz and hole A-56 intersected 10.8 ft grading 0.14 oz.
The joint venture partners say these holes were drilled near some diamond drill holes which tested the main alteration zone as well as other parallel alteration zones.
Since May, 1987, 32 holes have been drilled over a strike length of 2,300 ft to a maximum vertical depth of approximately 800 ft. The partners say all of the core lengths reported are close to true widths.
Camindex Mines will earn a 56.9% interest in Dundee-Palliser by financing the latter company’s share of the 1987 exploration program.
