More high-grade for Cumberland

Drilling by Cumberland Resources (CBD-T) at its Meadowbank gold project north of Baker Lake in Nunavut has intersected high-grade gold mineralization at the Vault deposit, one of five known gold deposits at the property.

This most-recent hole, no. VLT02-051, returned 16.09 grams gold per tonee over 4.9 metres at a depth of 298 metres below surface.

Prior to this year’s work, inferred resources in Vault were pegged at 7.5 million tonnes grading 3.90 grams gold, for 936,700 contained oz. gold, using a 2.5-gram cut-off grade.
