The latest hole drilled on the Taylor Brook property of Stratabound Minerals (ASE) shows a wider, but weaker, mineralized zone.
Hole 18, collared 100 metres east of hole 17, intersected a 42-metre zone of sulphide stringers. The zone contains 2-5% pyrite-pyrrhotite-sphalerite stringers, with the best intercept being a 2.4-metre-long heavy concentration of pyrite and sphalerite stringers. The coarse, fragmental rocks hosting the sulphide zone in this hole contrast with the finer-grained rocks in hole 17, which contain distinct intervals of massive sulphides.
The mineralization and alteration in hole 18 suggest massive sulphides were in the vicinity of the core rock.
Core from hole 18 is being logged, sawed and assayed.
Meanwhile, hole 19, collared 100 metres southwest of hole 17, is in progress. While holes 17 and 18 tested the upper edge of a large gravity anomaly along a small portion of its strike length, hole 19 will test a stronger portion of the anomaly at, or near, its projected intersection with the mineralized zone.
