More resignations at Cheni

Just months after Paul Girard resigned as president, Cheni Gold Mines (TSE) has announced the resignation of Malcolm Taschereau, chairman of the company’s board of directors and executive committee. Edmond Lemieux, vice-chairman and chief executive officer, has assumed Taschereau’s responsibilities on an interim basis pending the appointment of a new chairman.

Cheni has not yet appointed a new president to replace Girard.

Cheni owns and operates the Lawyers mine, a profitable gold and silver producer in the Toodoggone district of British Columbia.
