Drilling on the Cariboo Gold Quartz mine property in central British Columbia is returning gold values for Vancouver-listed partners Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines and International Wayside Gold Mines.
The program is testing the bulk-tonnage potential of the Rainbow zone.
Results from underground include: 40 ft. grading 0.6 oz. gold per ton in hole UG95-03; 12 ft. grading 0.19 oz. in UG95-05; and 100 ft. grading 0.04 oz. in UG95-10.
Surface results include a 5-ft. intersection grading 0.15 oz. gold in hole S95-01 and 4 ft. grading 0.2 oz. gold in S95-03.
Historic work on the adjacent Sanders zone outlined 1.1 million tons grading 0.12 oz. gold per ton, and Wayside sees similar potential in the Rainbow zone.
Beginning in January, underground drilling will attempt to test the near-surface potential of the Pinkerton zone.
