Five new holes drilled at MSV Resources’ (ME) Cedar Bay mine have encountered significant gold and copper values.
The holes were drilled between the 3,000 and 3,300 levels toward the Cedar Bay mine from the underground workings at the adjoining Copper Rand mine. Significant intersections include: 14 ft. grading 0.115 oz. gold per ton and 1% copper in Hole 30-R-328; 22 ft. of 0.224 oz. gold and 2.14% copper in Hole 30-R-335; and 35 ft. averaging 0.155 oz. gold and 1.93% copper in Hole 30-R-348.
An additional hole (37-R-48), drilled at Copper Rand’s 3,800 ft. level and close to the Cedar Bay boundary, intersected 0.118 oz. gold and 2.40% copper over 12 ft. This hole confirmed the extension of an already known mineralized vein at Copper Rand’s 3,600 level.
Exploration is continuing at the two mines and additional results are expected shortly.
