Alberta-listed Nebex Resources has outlined a zone of high-grade massive sulphide mineralization at its Canoe Landing Lake property near Bathurst, N.B.
The indicated reserve, based on results from a 13-hole program, is 2.7 million tons grading 0.69% copper, 2.51% zinc and 0.7% lead, plus 1.35 oz. silver and 0.042 oz. gold per ton. The reserve figure includes 112,000 tons averaging 4.12% zinc and 1.12% lead, in addition to 1.77 oz. silver.
The zone is within a larger base metal deposit which contains a geological reserve of 22 million tons grading 0.56% copper, 1.8% zinc and 0.64% lead, plus 0.94 oz. silver and 0.034 oz. gold.
More drilling is planned for the high-grade zone, as well as for the western section where four drill holes indicated a possible extension of the deposit.
Elsewhere in New Brunswick, at the Millstream project, five holes tested several induced-polarization anomalies. The holes encountered bands rich in lead-zinc-silver mineralization, which are enclosed in zones of low-grade disseminated sulphides. Additional work is planned for this prospect in the summer.
