NEVADA SPECIAL — Digger, Fischer-Watt team up in Nevada

Digger Resources (DIG-V) and Fischer-Watt Gold (FWGO-O) have consolidated their land holdings at the Tempo joint venture, northwest of Austin, Nev.

With the size of the gold property expanded to 8,800 from 3,200 acres, the companies plan to push ahead with a program aimed at locating a shallow, open-pit resource and assessing the potential for high-grade, deep mineralization.

To date, four main targets have been located. Digger, which is conducting the exploration, is concentrating its efforts on the southern target, a zone that measures 5,000 ft. long and 500-1,000 ft. wide. Trenching has defined several mineralized zones with grades ranging from 0.02 to 0.09 oz. gold per ton.

Digger says there is good potential for uncovering shallow, downdip mineralization in the Valmy formation.

The central target is defined by a gold and arsenic anomaly 5,000 ft. long, which runs parallel to the southern target.

Another target contains skarns associated with dioritic intrusions.

The northern target contains anomalous jasperoids in carbonate rocks.

Digger plans to spend $600,000 on a second phase of exploration, which would involve drilling on the southern and central targets.

The company has completed a private placement of 300,000 units totalling $753,000. Each unit consists of one common share and one non-transferable share purchase warrant.

The funds will be used to finance the 1996 drill program at the Tempo property.
