NEVADA SPECIAL — Fairmile expands zones at Buffalo Valley

Drilling on the Target F zone at the Buffalo Valley project in the Battle Mountain district has indicated greater mineralization at depth.

Fairmile Gold (FLA-A) has received final assay reports for four drill holes and preliminary assays on five more. Hole F96-10 intersected a 35.5-metre length with an average grade of 1.7 grams gold per tonne, including a 7.6-metre interval grading 5.4 grams gold and 47 grams silver per tonne.

Mineralization in the hole is in eight separate zones, each of which is 1.5-9 metres long. There is also some base metal mineralization.

A second hole, F96-11, intersected five mineralized zones over a length of 22.9 metres, with an average gold grade of 0.6 grams per tonne.

Hole F96-12 caved badly, and the company regards the assays as unreliable. In F96-13, there is weak gold mineralization, the best intersection being a 1.5-metre length containing 0.5 gram. However, the samples had high barium contents, which suggests the area is on the fringe of the gold mineralization.

Preliminary assays on holes F96-14 through F96-18 are complete, but the company will rely only on the results of the final assays (which use a 1-kg sample to ensure they are representative). The preliminary assays indicate gold zones in all the holes but suggest two of the five holes are on the flanks of the mineralization. Fairmile also reports that there was substantial base metal mineralization in the holes.

Samples from two more holes are being analyzed, and two other holes are planned on Target F. One hole is finished on another zone, Target A, and additional holes will be drilled there after drilling on Target F is complete.
