New research lab opened in Rouyn

A new mining research facility has been opened in the Abitibi- Temiscamingue region of northwestern Quebec. The facility is housed in the sciences department of the College de l’Abitibi-Temiscamingue in Rouyn.

The lab, a first in university and government co-operation in Quebec, will conduct research into rock mechanics, mineral processing, geology, computer applications, geostatistics and operations.
