New zone found at Cannon mine

An extension to the B North ore body of the Cannon mine at Wenatchee, Wash. has been discovered, reports Asamera Inc.

The new zone, called the B-4, ext ends to the west and north of the B North, which is the main source of gold for current production at the Cannon mine.

Over 65 underground diamond drill holes and 11 surface holes have been drilled into the B-4. The surface drilling is continuing to follow this zone to the west. A cross cut has been driven over 120 ft to the B-4 to establish drill stations for further underground drillng.

The B-4, as of Dec 31, 1986, has added to the Cannon mine 544,000 tons of proven and probable reserves at a grade of 0.239 oz gold per ton, using a cut-off grade of 0.1 oz.

Drilling will continue to define the limits of this zone which is open to the west and at depth.

Asamera is operator with a 51% interest in the Cannon mine with Breakwater Resources holding a 49% interest.
