Newjay Resources says in the 1987 season it plans a phase-two drill program totalling about 3,000 ft on its “Master Ace” precious metals project near Hope, B.C.
The drilling will test two zones identified along an approximate 2-mile mineralized structure from which percussion hole assays have returned gold values up to 0.389 oz gold per ton, Newjay says.
The company says nine of 13 completed percussion holes encountered bedrock and returned anomalous gold and silver values along with copper and traces of platinum.
The “Master Ace” property consists of 40 contiguous claims, and two potential ore zones have been identified on it. The Newjay zone located near its south end has been traced for 1,500 ft, while 3,000 ft to the north, the separate Master Ace zone has been outlined for 2,500 ft.
