Newmont Gold sells Grassy back to Atlas

Atlas (AZ-N) is buying back the Grassy Mountain gold deposit in southeastern Oregon.

Atlas has paid US$206,000 and issued a promissory note for US$500,000 to the current vendor, Newmont Gold (NGC-N). Atlas also assumed bonding requirements from exploration reclamation of US$146,000.

In 1995, the deposit was estimated to host about 16 million tons grading 0.062 oz. gold per ton.

Earlier this year, Atlas bought back from Newmont the Musgrove Creek project in Idaho.
