Falconbridge Ltd. (FL:TSE), in Onaping, Ont., is to develop a computer system which may improve productivity and efficiency in underground mines. Under a $158,000 contract with CANMET, Falconbridge is producing expert modules which will improve the scheduling of stope production and the designing of backfill systems.
