Drilling by Bruneau Minerals (ME) has confirmed the presence of a kaolin deposit in De Salaberry Twp., 120 km northwest of Montreal, Que.
The deposit lies between a monzonite to the north and a quartzite formation to the south. Drilling to date has outlined a width which varies between 30 and 250 metres and a depth of at least 60 metres. The deposit remains open along strike and at depth.
The discovery is said to contain 4.6 million tonnes averaging 50% kaolin. With the new reserve, the overall property is believed to contain more than 5.4 million tonnes of kaolin.
Results from other holes, drilled on the south side of the deposit, are pending.
