NEWS ROUNDUP — Bulk sampling at Beaufor project

Encouraging results are reported from the Beaufor project, 16 miles northeast of Val d’Or, Que.

Aurizon Mines (TSE) and Louvem Mines (TSE) say a 3,650-ton bulk sample has yielded 810 oz. gold, with a mill recovery rate of 97%.

The companies are quoting an average grade of 0.26 oz. gold per ton of development ore and 0.13 oz. of general development material. The sample was tested at the Norbec-Manitou mill, 7 miles west of the project. Exploration and development continue, with proven and probable reserves estimated at 309,400 tons grading 0.22 oz. Undergoing drilling are the C vein, between a depth of 1,750 ft. and 2,125 ft., and the parallel B vein structure.
