NEWS ROUNDUP — Cambior acquires control of Audrey

Shareholders of Audrey Resources (TSE) approved recently the sale of 20 million common shares to Cambior (TSE) at 65 cents per share (T.N.M., Aug. 31/92), giving the latter control of Audrey.

Audrey’s principal asset is the Mobrun polymetallic project northeast of Rouyn-Noranda, Que. Audrey has a 100% interest in Morbrun’s surface installations and a 50% interest in the mining property; owner of the other 50% property interest is Minnova Inc.

Cambior also acquired more than 2.8 million shares of Audrey from Northgate Exploration and almost one million Audrey shares from three Audrey shareholders and two holding companies each wholly owned by a director, giving Val d’Or, Que.-based Cambior an overall 65% interest in Audrey.
