CDN-listed Caribgold Resources has been granted prospecting and exploration rights to 2,000 sq. km in east-central Cuba.
The agreement was reached with Geominera S.A., a Cuban state company, and is expected to be made formal before April.
Situated north of Camaguey, the newly acquired ground increases to 5,500 sq. km Caribgold’s total land holdings. Exploration for gold is under way on these various properties.
Caribgold can earn a half interest in any deposits found on the Camaguey concession.
