Toronto-listed Corner Bay Minerals has optioned three properties comprising 367 hectares in Mexico’s Sonora state.
In return, the junior must pay US$65,000 cash, with the vendor retaining a 2.5% net smelter return royalty.
Previous work outlined a zone of copper mineralization 1,200 metres long by 500 metres wide. Most of the material is oxidized and therefore suitable for solvent extraction-electrowinning and heap leaching.
In other news, Corner Bay reports that Dragon Gem Resources is exploring the Las Vigas copper property in Chihuahua state. Copper zones within a 27.5-km-long red bed sedimentary horizon will be drill-tested.
