NEWS ROUNDUP — Ican hits gold with stepout drilling

Five holes have continued to instersect a gold-bearing stockwork system at Ican Minerals’ (TSE) Almaden mine project in Idaho.

Holes SW-4 and 5, drilled west of the discovery holes, intersected the same mineralized horizon but with lower grades. SW-4 intersected 0.015 oz. gold per ton over 120 ft., including a 50-ft. intercept that ran 0.023 oz. Holes SW-6 to SW-8, drilled 1,300 ft. west of the discovery, intersected a silicified zone. All three holes returned gold values averaging 0.012 oz. in the top 60 ft.

Ican will continue to delineate the mineralized zone, with a second drill rig scheduled to be moved onto the property by mid-June.
