NEWS ROUNDUP — Junior Wildcat looks to S.E. Asia

Among the Canadian companies poised to explore for gold in the Malay Archipelago is Pacific Wildcat Resources (VSE).

The junior intends to carry out work in southern Sumatra, where a 1,740-sq.-km area is known to contain epithermal gold mineralization. Meanwhile, the company is negotiating with the state-owned firm Aneka Tambang regarding a joint-venture gold project in another part of Indonesia. Pacific Wildcat is 30% owned by each of Viceroy Resources (TSE) and Gwalia Consolidated of Australia.
