A 10-hole, 2,163-metre program has wound down at the Big Duck gold property near Schreiber, Ont., reports operator Metall Mining (TSE).
Two holes were completed on the Coco-Estelle zone, which is west of an area containing 53,700 tonnes grading 10.7 grams gold per tonne. The best intersection was 11.65 metres averaging 1.23 grams gold, which included a 3.4-metre interval of 2.3 grams.
At the Nelson Pit zone, four holes were drilled. Significant intersections included 2.47 grams over 1.5 metres in Hole BD-60 and 1.4 grams over 9 metres in Hole BD-62.
Four other holes, drilled to test induced polarization targets, returned low gold values.
Rusty Lake Resources (CDN) can earn a half interest in the 145-claim property from Metall. In return, it must fund $1.5 million in exploration by Feb. 1, 1997.
