NEWS ROUNDUP — MSV finishes winter road

MSV Resources (ME) has finished constructing the 175-km winter road that connects the Eastmain deposit to Temiscamie, north of Chibougamau, Que.

The completion marks an important step in the development of the gold mine. So far, the company has made 45 (out of a total of 164) deliveries of equipment and supplies necessary to start production next winter. The last delivery is expected within the next two weeks.

Eastmain contains 1 million tons averaging 0.35 oz. gold per ton. Production is expected to consist of 35,000 oz. in the first year, increasing to 50,000 oz. thereafter.
