Two potential open-pit gold zones have been identified on the dormant Congress property in Arizona.
The Golden Wave and Bellick zones are north and east, respectively, of the Congress mill. Republic Goldfields (VSE) discovered them while completing 3,700 ft. of reverse circulation drilling and trenching.
Both contain near-surface, shallow-dipping, non-refractory mineralization which is being tested for its amenability to heap leaching.
A second phase of drilling, to delineate reserves, is under way and production could resume as early as six months after its completion.
