Three diamond drill holes have intersected high-grade gold mineralization at the Spanish property known as El Valle-Boinas.
Rio Narcea Gold Mines (TSE) reports that VAL-46, drilled to confirm previous results from a reverse circulation drill hole, intersected 5.91 ft. that averaged 0.56 oz. gold per ton and 39.37 ft. that ran 0.347 oz.. VAL 47 returned values of 5.785 oz. over 6.56 ft. and 0.958 oz. over 23.46 ft. This hole was also drilled as a check on another reverse-circulation hole. At the Boinas portion of the deposit, hole BOI-30 intersected two high-grade intercepts, with the first averaging 0.886 oz. over 8.53 ft. and the second averaging 0.103 oz. over 42.65 ft. This, the northern-most hole drilled on the project, extends the zone an additional 100 metres from hole BOI 29.
