NEWS ROUNDUP — Santa Cruz finds zone at Magistral

Junior Santa Cruz Gold (SCG-T) has intersected a new zone following drilling at its Magistral gold project in Sinaloa state, Mexico.

Infill hole MDH-281, drilled to test the updip potential of the San Rafael deposit, intersected 34 metres, in a footwall shear zone, grading 1.1 grams gold per tonne at a depth of 53 metres. The hole also hit its intended target, the San Rafael zone, from surface to a depth of 9 metres.

Northwest of the San Rafael zone, Santa Cruz intersected 43 metres grading 1.9 grams gold and 37 metres grading 1.3 grams at depths of 50-100 metres.

Drilling will continue on some of the other gold-bearing shear structures on the Magistral property. The company expects to complete a minable reserve study on the San Rafael deposit next month.
