NEWS ROUNDUP — Scossa to undergo reconnaisance

Partners Romios Gold Resources (RGRI-C) and BWI Resources (BWE-V) have begun exploring the Scossa gold property in north-central Nevada.

The program will include mapping of the geology and all historical workings, as well as a survey of previous underground development work. This will be followed by underground sampling and surface drilling.

Scossa is a mere 6 miles from the Rosebud underground gold mine and 8 miles from the Hycroft open-pit gold mine. It encompasses several gold-bearing quartz breccia veins and fault breccias that dip steeply and range from several to more than 10 ft. in width. Limited gold production from the property was reported between 1930 and 1939.

A year ago, Romios carried out preliminary sampling, collecting 15 random grab samples of quartz breccia vein material from old dumps. Three samples returned values of 61, 21.8 and 9 grams per tonne, with the balance ranging from 0.07 to 1.32 grams.
