The auriferous zone at the Douay property of Northern Abitibi Mining (ASE) in northwestern Quebec has been traced for more than 2,600 ft. along strike.
Drilling by Soquem, the Quebec Crown exploration company, is under way. Results from the extensions of a gold-bearing zone include 16.2 ft. of 0.31 oz. gold per ton and 7.5 ft. of 0.32 oz. from two separate holes. Soquem and project partner Societe d’exploration miniere Vior (ME) may earn up to a 60% interest in the property.
