Vancouver junior Trader Resource (TSE) has completed three additional drill holes on its Mikwam property in the Casa Berardi area of northern Quebec. The holes tested an area of previously known mineralization on the western portion of the property, about 13 km from the A-8 zone.
Hole K-92-07 contained two mineralized zones. At a depth of 73 ft., the hole intersected 1.7 ft. of 0.26 oz. gold per ton within a 14.9-ft.-wide zone of low-grade gold mineralization. The hole also contained a quartz vein at a depth of 264 ft. that graded 0.14 oz. gold over 2 ft.
The two other holes failed to intersect economic mineralization. In July, 1992, a hole drilled in the A-8 zone returned a 23.6-ft. interval grading 0.16 oz. gold (T.N.M., July 20/92).
Trader is 53.7% controlled by Royal Oak Mines (TSE).
