A $100,000 drilling program is under way on the MacLeod property near the Eastmain River in northern Quebec.
Windy Mountain Explorations (WDM-A) is attempting to increase the mineral inventory of the South zone, where reserves stand at 1 million tonnes grading 0.8% copper and 0.22% molybdenum, as well as 0.74 gram gold and 24 grams silver per tonne.
The South zone lies 1.7 km southwest of the Main zone, which hosts a mineral inventory of 37.1 million tonnes grading 0.44% copper and 0.05% moly, plus 0.04 gram gold and 3.68 grams silver.
Previous intersections from the South zone returned encouraging values including: 5.41% copper over 0.5 metre; 2.29% copper over 2 metres; and 1.38% moly over 1.5 metres.
MacLeod Lake is a 50-50 joint venture between Windy and Cochise Resources (KCH-A).
