Noranda to drill at Band-Ore bet

A deep diamond drilling program will be conducted on the No 4 zone of Band-Ore Gold Mines’ gold property in northwestern Ontario by Noranda Exploration.

The drilling will commence in late August and will be preceded by detailed geological investigations together with geochemical surveys along the easterly strike of the zone for about 5,000 ft.

Previous drilling on No 4 zone by Noranda outlined geological reserves of 650,000 tons grading 0.14 oz gold per ton. President Roy Lacey reports that estimated geological reserves have since been increased to 998,108 tons grading 0.12 oz.

The Band-Ore property is located on Lake Shebandowan about 60 mi west of Thunder Bay.
