Discovery of a new zone of gold mineralization has resulted from initial trench sampling on the Revenue Creek property in British Columbia, according to Nordac Mining Corp. and Rexford Minerals.
The new zone, it is reported, is within a strong 1,000-m geochemical anomaly. The property is optioned from Yukon Revenue Mines.
Chip sampling in bedrock returned assays of 0.272 oz gold per ton across 16.4 ft. A halo of lower grade material occurs on each side of the discovery zone.
The rocks are well oxidized where exposed, and should be amenable to cyanide extraction techniques. The zone is open on one side and on strike in both directions. Trenching is continuing along the strike with diamond drilling expected to begin by late August or early September.
